When asked about China's stance on the upcoming China-US economic and trade talks in Sweden, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun told a press briefing on Monday that "for specific details about the trade talks in Sweden, please stay tuned."

On economic and trade issues, China's position has always been consistent and clear, Guo said, noting that we hope the US side will work with the Chinese side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of states in their phone conversation, make good use of the economic and trade consultation mechanism, and engage in communication and dialogue on the basis of equality, respect and mutual benefit to increase consensus, reduce misunderstanding, strengthen cooperation, and promote the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-US relations through dialogue and communication.
